In Sri Lankan folklore and temple art, it reflects the cultural interplay between beauty, temptation, and spiritual awareness, reminding devotees of the transient nature of worldly attachments. This is a replica of an 18th-century artwork from the Dambulla cave temple, also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla - a World Heritage Site in Sri Lanka.
