- Depicted is the bodhi tree - symbolizing enlightenment, spiritual awakening, and the Buddha’s triumph over ignorance, as it was under this tree that he attained enlightenment. In Sri Lanka, the Bodhi Tree is deeply venerated, especially the sacred Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi in Anuradhapura, serving as a national and religious symbol of wisdom, peace, and the enduring presence of the Buddha’s teachings. This is a replica of an 18th-century artwork from the Dambulla cave temple, also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla - a World Heritage Site in Sri Lanka.
